After a good day of spring after a roast, ¿ what better plan to keep moving the body in a good évent ?
The name : BIM ! (Beats In Motion) give us an advance promising. Taking a look at the lineup, we know we will want dance. First, The Waters, the two young beatmakers from Nancy (France) belonging to the label Noircity, we already know because we have tried to track the effectiveness of their songs, open the event in L’Ostra Club (totally remodeled) with a dj set. Then it is up to Souleance, or Soulist + Fulgeance, two artists from the label First World Records, mixing personal productions and samples of rare funk songs, among other things. Finally, the famous Chapelier Fou, artist from Metz (France) of the label Ici D’ailleurs, will perform a dj set. With a lineup like this, many people will go !
We arrived very early at L’Ostra and down to the club to discover the place recently remodeled. It’s only 11PM, but the place is filling up slowly. Around twelve o´clock, was filled. Travis Brickman & RJ Henry of The Waters start dancing girls and boys (some remove his shirt, making good Booty Shakes). His set is fresh and varied, oscillating between hip hop and electronic a bit louder.
The public is ready, gives a very enthusiastic welcome to Soulist and Fulgeance. The place is full. The two friends gladly play, like two children who were playing for the first time with your MPC. We don’t stop dancing!
Then came the final set of Chapelier Fou. It started with something quiet : some songs of his new LP Darling, Darling, Darling, to continue with oldschool hip-hop sounds.
The event was a hit, people sweat a lot, we could see out there Heymoonshaker (who played in the hall in front of the night). We can’t wait to go to the BIM # 2 !
