CxC PREMIERE: Poly Chain – Lazy Eye (Lightronics)

Poly Chain announces new album Nemesis and launches Lightronics label

Ukrainian artist Poly Chain is preparing to mark 2025 with the release of her album Nemesis, due on 25 April on her brand-new Lightronics label. This 15-track project oscillates between experimental sounds and post-ambient textures, testifying to more than a decade of artistic creation and evolution.

Nemesis is a deeply coherent work, designed to be played live. From early tracks like ‘Hyrax’ and ‘Enhanced Comfort’, created in 2013, to the most recent ones written for festivals in 2024, each track reflects Poly Chain‘s immersion in the European electronic scene. His unique sonic universe fuses abstract minimalism, post-trance and revisited UK grooves, while incorporating elements of dub, acid and metallic percussion.

‘Lazy Eye’, the ninth track on the album, now available to listen to in our columns, is a perfect illustration of this approach: a deconstructed club track with hypnotic potential. Tracks like ‘Doomscroll Shame’ plunge the listener into a state of sonic ecstasy, while ‘Get Home Before Curfew’ captures an electronic melancholy inspired by the streets of Kyiv.

The release of Nemesis also marks the launch of Lightronics, a label dedicated to interdisciplinary collaborations. With this project, Poly Chain hopes to explore new ways of conceiving music and visual art: ‘It’s time to adopt a cross-disciplinary approach to redefine the perception of sound and art.’

With Nemesis and Lightronics, the Ukrainian producer and DJ is asserting her central role in the European club avant-garde.
