VIDEO PREMIERE: King Doudou – Toa (ft. Jamez Manuel)
The always relevant and very active King Doudou is back with a banger dembow whose video is totally crazy :Toa.
This delightful song marks an additional collaboration between the French producer and the Chilean rapper Jamez Manuel (member of the Zonora Point group). For about ten years, Jamez (solo or via ZP) and Doudou have signed an incalculable number of songs together, not to mention several mixtapes (the legendary series Neon Mixtapes Zonora Point, Puerto de Palos …).
On Toa, the two artists are back together for an unstoppable track. Toa is a good old dembow straight from the future, a type of production in which King Doudou has become a true master. Stamped NeoPerreo, Toa mixes classic references from a Dominican dembow, space keyboards and a good dose of auto-tune more than ever justifying its label.
The clip of Toa is at the height of the piece: it leaves no one unscathed. While Jamez is eating – literally, you will have grabbed – a lot of amigas, you have to take the opportunity to taste the culinary analogy with Mexican cuisine and its delicious tacos.
The purists will note the taquero’s fingering which receives impeccably on the tortillta the piece of pineapple cut with the machete at 1:05.
