CAPITANA unveils her new track ‘Sigo’: a spellbinding blend of Reggaeton and Alt Pop
Danish-Argentinian artist CAPITANA offers an introspective fusion of Reggaeton and Alt Pop, reminding us that melancholy is not always a necessity.
With ‘Sigo’, her new single unveiled today, CAPITANA delivers a track that is both deep and rousing, exploring the struggle against the attraction of the past. Her intimate vocal performance contrasts with the dynamic percussive breakbeat, giving the track an irresistible energy. The piano, reminiscent of Sakamoto’s world, evokes a gentle melancholy, while CAPITANA invites us to move forward, without dwelling on sadness.
In Spanish, ‘Sigo’ means ‘I keep going’, and that’s precisely what this song symbolises: progression. The song is the second single from her debut album, due out in August 2025. Her first single, ‘Real’, released in 2024, was broadcast on NTS Radio (UK) by Erika de Casier, premiered on KALTBLUT Magazine (DE) and received widespread international critical acclaim.
Behind CAPITANA is Nanna Fittipaldi Giobbi, a pianist and producer who travels between London, Buenos Aires and Mexico City. Her unique style blends the sounds of the London underground with Latin American influences. Alongside her musical project, she has composed for films, art installations and other artists. She notably plays the piano on ‘Czech One’, taken from King Krule’s The OOZ.
In the run-up to her album, due out in August 2025, CAPITANA is pursuing new collaborations and continuing to refine his sound universe.
