BOMBA! (Espectral set at Club de Playa NAAFI 29/12/2014 NOCHE)
It’s been a while since this mix of Espectral was playing on a loop in my audio devices connected to the Internet, and it obviously deserves a few words on CxC.
Espectral (or Sonido Espectral) is either, producer and Dj from Mexico City, affiliated to the label NAAFI. To celebrate the transition from 2014 to 2015, the label has organized a three-day rave on the Pacific coast, specifically at Puerto Escondido: Club de Playa. The line up was simply stunning, counting almost all (including Espectral) the team from the label led by Fausto Bahía, Mexican Jihad, Lao and Paul Marmota, and international guests representing the labels Fade To Mind and Night Slugs (L-Vis 1990, Massacooramaan).
For the unlucky ones who could not get to the event, or the lucky ones wanting to relive this great moment, the good Espectral was kind enough to broadcast his set performed at Club de Playa. A heavy selection, widely danceable, which takes us between jersey club, music loaded with bass, dembow and reggaeton rhythmics… that’s only part of the recipe for this magically effective and innovative blend Espectral signed.
One can regret his too rare presence behind the decks or on the internet … even if it is not impossible to see Espectral news on CxC sooner than expected!
