Footwork, bass and organised chaos: DALF Records announces DANSE AVEC Pack #2
DALF Records (Danse Avec Les Fous) has unveiled its next release: a 15-track album by various artists entitled DANSE AVEC Pack #2, following the first volume released at the end of February.
This new chapter plunges us into electronic music’s densest, most obscure areas. A world shaped by Bass Music, murky textures and uncompromising sonic experimentation. Each track traces its trajectory, tense and mysterious – where atmosphere takes precedence over structure.
Conceived by the independent label DALF records, this second instalment continues the exploration of audio landscapes at the crossroads of Dark Ambient, Experimental and the sounds buried in the depths of underground clubs. Here, each composition is a world unto itself – visceral, rough, inhabited.
It all starts at the lowest point. Where the light no longer filters through, where the landmarks fade away. You sink in, carried along by the dull pressure of the sub-basses and the repetitive strikes of the kicks. A descent. A sensory immersion.
Then a change. Something rumbles. A different tension emerges – drier, sharper. Jerky breaks, frantic Footwork, broken and syncopated rhythms that evoke the urgency of the streets. The energy is transformed. A surge, a discharge.
DANSE AVEC Pack #2 is not just a compilation. It’s a journey. An oscillation between free fall and rhythmic resurgence. A ritual of sound – from nothingness to raw concrete, only to disappear again.
Ahead of the release, the label gave us the track “Topa”, composed by the Polish producer larissa. While the track begins as what sounds like a fairly classic ghetto tech techno track, it actually turns into a Brazilian Funk hybrid combining influences from Dubstep, Miami bass, Trap and Lynchian Ambient Jazz. Impeccable!
