Menace Progressive, the project founded and led by Franssouax, unveils its very first compilation entitled Wish This Was Unreal
Launched in 2022 by Franssouax, with its demanding line-ups always at the cutting edge, Menace Progressive has established itself as a benchmark event on the Paris club scene. Four years later, the project is taking off again with the announcement of its first compilation, entitled Wish This Was Unreal. This ambitious project brings together 20 international artists around a hybrid soundscape combining bass, trap, Jersey club, Brazilian funk, Latin bass and avant-garde club music, designed as much for the dance floor as for radio play.

This compilation brings together a wide range of artists from different electronic and bass scenes: Cardozo, Yanka, Brodinski, Pol Cartier, Gipsyan, ISMA, King Doudou, DJ GÄP, Entran͂as, Vitaline, BJF, Erna, Sevenbeatz, Missy Da Kunt, no.salt, Brugeez, DJ SUELDOminimo, Linapary, Racing Nokia, Yunk, Sighh, Qoso, Ohjeelo, as well as Franssouax for his very first official release (already teased on his Rinse France residency recently). An eclectic line-up that reflects the diversity and vitality of the global club scene, as well as the DNA of the community built by Franssouax around Menace Progressive.
Conceived as a curatorial extension of Menace Progressive’s sound identity, this project is part of Franssouax’s artistic vision: to explore the boundaries between club music, bass culture and contemporary electronic experimentation.
Ahead of the release, and as the very first track to be unveiled, Franssouax has entrusted us with the distribution of Gipsyan‘s‘Taki Taki’, which you can listen to in this article. A producer and DJ from Montpellier, a key figure on the French club scene, featured on Monstart, Piñata Radio, Rinse and Contre Jour, he has created a solid peak-time banger with ‘Taki Taki’, true to form. Resolutely hybrid and devilishly effective, the track’s syncopated, sharp sounds promise great things on the dance floor!
A personal, committed and supportive project
Wish This Was Unreal also has an intimate dimension. The compilation is dedicated to Dounia, a close friend and source of inspiration who passed away at the end of 2024. It celebrates her love of dance, freedom and movement, as well as all those who will continue to rock the dance floors. In a spirit of solidarity, 100% of the profits from the compilation will be donated to the French association Laurette Fugain, which supports people affected by leukaemia and blood cancers.
