At Couvre x Chefs’, there’s a part of the family that wasn’t introduced yet (for some obscure reasons, the most relevant of them being that there’s much to say but not enough time !) : our homies representing the american Detroit sound production.
But here’s an occasion to catch up on our homework : our friends Tunis Diaspora 216 (of which we introduced one of the 3 members, DJ Dali, when its last EP was released here) invited us to their party A Night in Motor City : From Detroit to Paris.
Couvre x Chefs has therefore the honor to support this show, which name is an analogy of the classic album from Ludovic Navarre (info here), side to side with prestigious ambassadors from Detroit’s music, like the labels Bang Tech 12, W.A.R.M.T.H. 313 or the music crew Detroit Techno Militia.
The Batofar is hosting this great quality event, and uses its configuration to offer two chronologically opposed atmospheres : from 7 pm, Undergroove, Dockside Krew and House Gallery (Jay Ramsey, Adam Francesconi, J. Garcia) will be playing soft house on the terrace, until midnight. Then, techno will take on the Grande Salle, featuring Cloudmaster Weed, Detroit Techno Militia (with an impressive 4 vinyl decks set by DJ T. Linder and DJ Seoul), and Tunis Diaspora 216 (represented by DJ Dali and DJ Nabil) will close the show, unfortunately without DJ Mourad, third member of the…trio.
So we spur you the Parisian fan (or anyone ready to get there in the French capital city) to go recharge your spirit and ears in this nice, too infrequent event. Like for the Anything But Noise #3 show, CxC promotes once again an event which artists are not mainstream but promising or confirmed already, in very different styles, and about whom we guarantee the talent, authenticity, quality.
Shout-out to all the readers who were at the DTM and Tunis Diaspora 216 show in Nancy in 2010.
