The aptly named crew Craquages Collectifs makes their label official with the release of their compilation Craquages Vol. 1
Craquages Collectifs is a young Parisian crew and label which wisely aims to help victims of the metro-work-sleep, by offering a space for expression and freedom. After appearances on Hotel Radio, Egregore, Radio Flouka and DJ sets at Petit Bain or the famous Gambetta Club, the collective led by ergen101, Meli Mena and BisouBisou takes the label step with its first compilation Craquages Vol. 1 coming soon.
For this one, “driven by a mad ambition to establish themselves as key players on the Parisian Bass and Break scene” (sic), our three troublemakers (re sic) surrounded themselves with booming producers including RAVL and Quant. Ahead of the release, the collective entrusted us with the distribution of the track “Sirius”, the work of G.ear, founder of the Matière label.
With its thunderous beginning, the track places the listener directly into a certain state of sonic emergency, described by the label as “a race against death – or perhaps for life – dictated by soaring low frequencies and punctuated by ever more catastrophic alarm sirens”. Dystopian as you wish, contrasting between cold and technological atmospheres, “Sirius” brilliantly synthesizes dub influences, footwork and other elusive breaks.
Craquages Collectifs is organizing the release party of their compilation on February 10 at La Cité Fertile with G.ear in particular. All the information is on Facebook and Shotgun.
Pre-order Craquages Vol. 1 on Bandcamp, released on February 9 via Craquages Collectifs.
