Couvre x Chefs brings you today an exclusive listen to the track ‘Dramas Experimentales’, taken from the EP TVNKVNTVN, a collaborative project between Genosidra (Colombia) and Amantra (Venezuela), due for release on the prestigious Mexican label NAAFI. Hailing straight from Barcelona, via Bogotá and Caracas, these two artists present a release unlike anything you’ve heard recently. A collision between two powerful artistic worlds, raw and uncompromising soundscapes, and a vision of Latin American electronic music resolutely focused on experimentation and the future.
With their blend of polyrhythms and synthetic chaos, Genosidra and Amantra are shaking up the Latinx club scene with their joint EP on NAAFI
TVNKVNTVN emerged from a creative process that was as organic as it was radical: a series of improvisational sessions between Genosidra (Colombia) and Amantra (Venezuela), based on hours of material recorded during their respective live sets. The result is an EP which, although designed for the club, goes far beyond the confines of the dancefloor.
Far from conforming to the conventional structures of club electronic music, TVNKVNTVN offers free-flowing sonic textures, exploring new possibilities that challenge and reshape the dancefloor experience. The fluid, intuitive and spontaneous nature of the live performance remains intact throughout the EP, lending it a raw and authentic energy.
Through intense polyrhythms and synthetic textures that are brutally intricate yet emotionally charged, this project expands the language of Latin American electronic music from an intensely experimental perspective, opening up new sonic horizons for the global scene.
Ahead of the release, NAAFI has entrusted us with the premiere of the track ‘Dramas Experimentales’, which you can listen to in this article. Characterised by the biting Ha typical of ballroom tracks, countered by captivating melodic layers and an unstoppable rhythmic structure, the track promises to make a big impact both on the dance floor and during the most attentive listening sessions.
