CxC PREMIERE: biased – Winded (Early Reflex)

Between Milan and New York, biased signed a first EP on the Early Reflex label, synthesising his club experiments

The Early Reflex label presents 63N3RD [EYX021], the debut EP from biased, a producer and DJ based between Milan and New York. The four-track opus offers a sonic journey where deep bass meets innovative electronic textures, shaped by 16 years of club experience and a passion for musical eclecticism.

Composed over 18 months in New York, 63N3RD reflects the richness of biased‘s influences, oscillating between experimentation and danceable energy. His aim: to create music where unexpected elements combine in surprising but harmonious ways.

The EP opens with ‘K:umbia’, a daring reinterpretation of cumbia rhythms, enriched with electronic textures and powerful bass, testifying to the artist’s taste for sonic contrasts. ‘Winded’, which you can listen to now in this article, then takes over with its irregular percussion and urban atmosphere, capturing the effervescence of New York nights. The progression continues with ‘Riddimsburg’, a track where syncopated beats and heavy grooves intertwine to create a complex, immersive soundscape. Finally, ‘Sottoterra’ concludes the EP on a dark yet dynamic note, inspired by the underground aesthetic, where dark ambience and driving pulses coexist.

biased, also an active member of the Balleremo collective, is renowned for its commitment to Italy’s alternative electronic scene. Through events where immersive sound and the visual arts merge, the collective seeks to redefine the contours of contemporary electronic music.

With 63N3RD, biased delivers a bold, personal work, condensing his musical journey and his vision of clubbing that is both experimental and danceable.

Pre-order 63N3RD by biased on Bandcamp, out on 28 March on Early Reflex.
