True pioneers of an underground and experimental electronic pop scene, after Rattlesnakke, Doxxed or Slav Zimm, the Argentinean label AGVA Records unveils a new prodigy: O.L.I.V.I.A.
O.L.I.V.I.A is the scenic name of Olivia Taretto, an Argentinian vocalist and producer, from the Colegiales district of Buenos Aires.
Active in the electronic scene since 2017, O.L.I.V.I.A has already been able to collaborate with producers Bursz (Programa) and Ro Stambuk (TRRUENO).
After a series of edits posing the atmosphere, in which the rule of “opposing attract each other” is more than confirmed (Arca vs. Beyonce, Real [RIP] vs. Britney Spears, or Rosalía and Dinamarca), the young artist is on the verge of releasing her first EP: Modo Avión, on the label AGVA Records.
True avant-pop jewel, with Modo Avión, O.L.I.V.I.A delivers an innovative, experimental and simply beautiful work. Between vanguard, dreamlike pop and melancholy trap, one is caught in the universe of O.L.I.V.I.A from the very first notes. The texts, once you have managed to go beyond the sublime crystalline tone of their author, evoke time, the city, technology or social networks and their impact on our sensitivity, calling into question avatars and hyper-connectivity. Composed of 4 tracks, made in collaboration with Ro Stambuk (Eco, Gif) and Pablo Bursztyn (Modo Avión, REFL3JO), this first EP of the talented vocalist is a bubble of serenity that we deeply need in the time we are living.
In exclusivity before the release of the complete EP on November, 4th, we can already listen to the track, Modo Avión, below.
