Ice_eyes and Sueuga have linked Athens and Mexico for a percussive and industrial EP labeled post-pandemic club music
Superficie is a joint EP composed by Ice_eyes and Sueuga between Athens and Mexico. The project will be released on the Berlin label Arboretum Records. Labeled post-pandemic club music, the EP assembles jungle breaks, disturbing sound design, and other rhythmic sound explosions on frenzied club rhythms.
Fruit of the meeting of the universes of the two artists, Superficie merges percussive and industrial, anarchic and methodical, thus giving birth to a hybrid and captivating sound. Composed of four tracks, the EP is enriched with a stunning remix by the German producer Ziúr, faithful to her signature club and innovative experimental. The remix is in exclusive listening today in our columns.
Ice_eyes is originally a duo formed in Athens in 2012. The duo develops a leftfield electronic universe, tinged with influences, techniques, and atmospheres from various modern club territories. Since 2022, Ice_eyes is the solo project of Anastasios Tatsis.
A native of Sonora, Mexico, Sueuga grew up in Oakland, California. After producing for La Favi, Sueuga released their first EP Grieta on Terror Negro in 2019. This release was very well received and allowed them to chain releases on HiedraH, Salviatek, and Soul Feeder.
Arboretum Records is a Berlin-based label focused on contemporary electronic music. Born from a collaboration between musician Marco Berardi (Mogano) and visual artist Andrea Familari (FAX), the project explores breakbeat, techno, electronic and bass music.
