Between seraphic melodies and unconventional club rhythms, the first EP of the duo ØɎ is about to be released by the Turin-based label Early Reflex
ØɎ (Our Youth) is an Italian duo providing non-conformist club rhythms and ethereal atmospheres, whose first EP Home will be released on the Turin-based Early Reflex label.
Composed of producer Alec Pace, founder of Early Reflex, and Andrea Prato, percussionist, producer, and long-time collaborator of the label, ØɎ is the result of a long history of friendship. After being able to share the stage and touring via their respective bands, the two producers started composing and performing under the moniker ØɎ / Our Youth. In 2022, it was time for them to formalize the project with a first proper release. So it’s done with this first EP entitled Home.
The four tracks that make up the EP are the result of jam sessions with acoustic and electronic instruments, performed in various environments. The live and improvisation approach is indeed omnipresent in the whole project. The name and concept of the EP are inspired by the environment (home) in which one evolves, which can be natural or artificial. In advance of the release, the label entrusted us with the broadcast of the eponymous track, which you can listen to today in our columns.
