“Resiliencia”, Rattlesnakke’s new EP coming soon to Majía.
Argentinian producer, DJ and vocalist Rattlesnakke will release her new EP Resiliencia this Friday August 14th on Houston’s excellent label Majía.
Resident and host of Agva Rituals parties, Rattlesnakke quickly became a key figure of Buenos Aires club scene.
A year after her first album, Infraluz, the key member of the collective and label Agva Records, announces her new project : a six tracks EP, on Majía, the label masterfully led by the Santa Muerte duo.
Rattlesnakke reveals here a much more club-oriented aspect of her work. Her previous project was very close to cloud rap and had systematically singings on it. On Resiliencia, Lucero Gamerro brilliantly tries to turn her style into experimental club music, some tracks of the EP being indeed completely devoid of vocals.
As an appetizer before the release of the entire project, the producer and her label have entrusted us with the broadcast of the opening track Insecta, which you can listen to with the link bellow. A sublime experimental reinterpretation of a dembow rhythm, with samples of jaguar roar and a ghostly melody from Rattlesnakke which puts everything together. Insecta opens the EP perfectly.
With this new EP, Majía continues its bluffing series of summer releases that we encourage you to go and listen to. In fact, Resiliencia by Rattlesnakke follows a few recent and very good releases of the label: one from Precolumbian & Estoc, one from EL PLVYBXY, the of Santa Muerte compilation, singles from Sines and Abraxa, and a pack of edits from Sines.
Resiliencia by Rattlesnakke is out on Majía this Friday August 14 on all platforms and is already available in pre-order on Bandcamp.
